My participation in an online collection of photographic work by artists worldwide reflects a more spartan and purposeful way of seeing. The shared experience of the pandemic has encouraged a shift toward calmer, richer expressions rooted in detail and lived experience.
This introspective proposition draws attention to the small, slow mercies of everyday life.
Recent circumstances have required us to embrace stillness - a virtue too often missing from our collective livelihood. Newfound appreciation for introspection, home rituals, and simple acts of care have inspired new approaches to expression and art making.
‘Still’ brings together the works of thirteen artists from around the globe who commonly discovered new creative inspiration from our imposed slower pace, highlighting the silver lining of solitude and the humble power of living in the present.TRNK NYC, Curator 2019
