My photography exhibition “Bylines” delivered a dynamic and compelling collection of an urban environment’s unseen and overlooked details.

Delving into this unnoticed world, manmade and natural elements are highlighted in their interplay with light and shadow. Focusing on subtle contrasts and hidden details, this work reveals complexity and beauty in the city's overlooked spaces, inviting viewers to reconsider their everyday surroundings.

The ordinary is celebrated in an unpredictable acquisition of light, colour and form. Tuck’s architectural vocation is evident in this series; we see the materials and rigid lines of buildings and construction that represent the man-made presence in the images, often delicately juxtaposed with light and shadow.

The images in “Bylines” are glimpses of an unexamined environment that a walk through a cityscape might offer - but that in conventional contexts are often overlooked; indeed, the cracks in concrete or the banal evidence of human existence has never looked more appealing than when Tuck focuses these elements with a macro and micro viewpoint.
